The DePaul Law Review’s 23nd annual symposium will focus on the Great Lakes, specifically addressing the legal issues and policy concerns relating to freshwater resources. This daylong symposium will consist of several short talks and panel discussions. We plan to gather academics, practicing attorneys, and policy experts to discuss the current threats to freshwater resources including climate change, sewer system concerns, invasive species, and pharmaceutical contamination, and then address how conservation, green infrastructure, and sustainability initiatives may impact this issue.
